While we watch the parade and then head out to make the most of a bonus off-day 1.3 million people of the Indian Army make a sacrifice everyday with their families, and very often with their lives. This Republic Day, a special salute to the men and women of not just the army but also of the Indian Air Force, the Indian Navy, all other men and women in uniform working selflessly so that we may be safe.
