20 Controversies of Twenty20 World Cup
1. Indian legends out
The very first major controversy was when legends Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman didn't play in the inaugural 2007 edition. The official version is that they opted out. That's strange because they became IPL T20 aficionados for years later on. So were they actually told to step down over the 2007 ODI World Cup debacle? Or were they dropped and told in advance to avoid controversy? We shall never know!
2. Yuvi Flintoff spar
In the 2007 match with England, Andrew Flintoff had a go at Yuvraj Singh and the two almost clashed. India and England shared a history and it could have turned uglier in the next over, but Yuvi hit six sixes and the English players had to swallow their pride and keep quiet. 
3. Sree's excessive appeals
S Sreesanth's career is full of controversies and the 2007 edition was no different. Despite taking a fine 2-12 in the semis versus Australia, Sree was docked 25% of his match fees. He has a habit of appealing even when the umpire has turned him down and this time the batsman was Mathew Hayden.
