Dear friends,

We now have 57 confirmations and more are trickling in. Some more efforts from all of us will push up numbers quickly. Nice listing prepared by Hemant Rawat with some additions from the office is enclosed. If there are any corrections, do let us know.

Ashok Motiani has sent a nice summary that says it all. Pl see the matter in green below. I am fully endorsing it. We can now focus on getting more friends in and subsequently, on programme detailing.

The confirmation to Mandawa Resort will go shortly and I shall let you have the account details early next week so contributions could start flowing in!

Best from BCJ

Here is a summary of my humble suggestions :-

1.      The basic programme remains unchanged (2 days at Mandawa & one day at Pilani).

2.      The standard contribution (all inclusive) remains unchanged (Rs.18,000/- per couple).

3.      The charges for (i) buses/vans (ii) musical programmes & (iii) any unforeseen expenses would be met from ‘Reunion Contigency Fund’ to be created out of additional voluntary contributions from some generous friends.

4.      The expenses for liquor would be met from ‘Liquor Fund’ (for ‘bevadas’) to be created by separate set of sponsors/voluntary contributors. You will naturally keep away from such activity.

5.      Your appeal can make wonders. Fortunately you do not know this.

6.      It is impossible to have a tailor-made programme for each individual family. The friends are free to participate fully/partly in the 3 day programme

7.      The announced contribution for 3 day programme is Rs.18,000/-. Those desiring to participate only for one day or two days (whether at Mandawa or at Pilani) are free to decide & pay their quantum of contribution as per their judgement. Nobody will question or discuss their judgement. This would also apply to a small number of friends opting to make their own arrangements for stay outside B.I.T.S. Campus. The actual quantum of each friend’s contribution will not be announced by you.

8.      Our friends coming from Delhi or from Jaipur by cars should voluntarily offer to take along outstation friends in their cars, if possible.

9.      We all should make efforts to enjoy the time together during these three days. Any deviation from the announced programme is likely to cause inconvenience to everybody. I see no reason why we all should not have good time together at Mandawa for 2 days & at Pilani for one day. Let our Janata decide finally.

Ashok Motiani
