A lot has been said about Imtiaz Ali's latest film, Tamasha. It's been over a week since it's release, and the audience stand divided on its verdict. Very few understood it completely, some didn't get it - yet felt the emotion behind it, and some out-rightly disliked it. I managed to watch the movie twice, and now I can proudly claim that I understood it. At least, I understood the underlying emotion in it- the journey of a story teller, his journey of discovering his true self.
All things said, you have to give it to Imtiaz Ali, first of all for daring to make such an emotionally intricate film, especially given the Indian audience who have been fed brainless movies time and again. And secondly for actually becoming partially successful at his attempt. And you also have to admit, that no matter its flaws, the film has actually struck a chord with every person out there who has some degree of emotional intelligence.
